A Project Inspired by Love
"When I had my son I was frustrated by the lack of helpful keepsake tools and planned to build an app just for us because I was interested in learning to build apps. After I shared my idea with a few others I quickly learned the problem wasn't just mine.
After that I started asking more parents including those I didn't know about their experience. I heard so many sad stories about lost data and frustration from wanting to write more down but not having an easy way to do it. Most parents said they feel overwhlemed.
Then I realised it was a real problem that was hurting families.

So I went through maybe 5 or 6 cycles of designing prototypes then iterrating them based on feedback and eventually called the project Nomii (as in know me) in 2023.
Building this has been one the hardest things I have done but my children continue to motivate me to keep going everyday and I get excited when I think about the mission to fixing scattered memories.

Capturing data is half the problem and the other half is finding a way to securely pass on memory collections so they can be enjoyed forever. We're working on that part still".

neurodiverse leadership & positive social impact
neurodiverse leadership & positive social impact
Recognizing and supporting neurodivergent founders is a step toward making greater positive social impact and innovation.
Inclusive systems, open conversations and more education about neurodivergence will allow potential to grow.
FIND HIDDEN POTENTIAL
Neurodivergent people often face barriers like rigid systems, traditional thinking and resistance to change that make it difficult for others to see our potential. Strengths and weaknessess are bound to the individual - regardless of disgnoses- so that is where they must be sought and found.
APPRECIATING DIFFERENCES
It's not about neurodivergent "superpowers". It's about knowing that communities work best when we understand our strengths and weaknesses, then, work together to develop a system that brings out the best in us all.
NEURODIVERGENT FOUNDER
Lydia was late diagnosed with AuADHD age 36 and she has embraced her new identity as a strength. Read about her experience as a AuAdhd mum here.

When will the app be ready?
We're hopeful for 2026 but as this is our first app there are new challenges to overcome and we're prioritising quality. To be kept in the loop, please follow our facebook page or join the waitlist to stay updated.
Will my memories be safe?
Security is paramount. We want to build a reliable, future proof and secure product that parents feel safe using.
-
Privacy First principles - no one else sees memories unless they are directly shared by you.

-
Data protection policy - we will never share or sell your data.

-
End to end data encryption - safeguards against unauthorized access during transmission and storage.

-
A first-party data strategy: high quality, unintrusive ads to allow us to keep the app running while maintaining user privacy.

-
100% User owned: Users can export or erase their own data at any time.
Can I print photobooks?
Not yet.....it's possible we might but at the moment our focus is on reinventing the photobook to produce a solution that isn't paper based. Parents need a legacy for videos, recordings and everything else too.
Our current direction is self-hosted websites (we'll make it very tech simple). The benefits would include:
1. Long-Term Ownership & Control
Enables parents to keep ownership of their memories forever — independent of Nomii.
2. Richer, More Customizable Legacy
A self-hosted site provides opportunities for customization and transforms digital fragments into a coherent, living story.
3. Powerful Gifting Moment
Imagine giving a child a perfectly secure, private domain filled with their entire childhood — birthdays, milestones, messages from grandparents, drawings from school, silly quotes — all preserved in a beautiful, scrollable, immersive format. It’s one of the most emotionally powerful gifts a parent could give.
4. Privacy & Security on Your Terms
Persoanlised permissions and options for encryption means you can keep the site entirely private and only share it when you are ready.
However, we are customer led and listen closely to feedback to detrmine what features parents need next.
Can I share my memories with family?
Yes. Account holders can invite Followers or invite more people to share the account with them by giving them a user profile. Here's how it works:
1) Send invitations to loved ones. Once they accept and download the app, they will be able to view that child's memories
2) User profiles: Account holders can add up to 6 users (one extra is part of the Nomii Basic features, after that you can upgrade to premium to get 4 more users). These users can add memories and help complete the monthly prompts.
